Logo Development

I spent the last couple of days doing a lot research about the city and when it comes to colours that represent Manchester, red is what most people would associate with the city. I think this is because of how successful the football team Manchester United has been over the past couple decades. from this they’ve gained millions of fans from all across the globe and so wearing the colour red advertises the the city as a red too. But we can’t neglect that there is 2 teams in Manchester and I’m sure there is countless Manchester City fans that get annoyed at the ‘Manchester is Red’ tag. 

So I wanted to use red & sky blue, the latter to represent the blue half of manchester. 

The logo design is a symbol that folds into half and creates an M shape to signify Manchester. I think It would work really well as a motion piece/ident too. 

Its still very early stages and i’ll most probably go in a complete different direction.
